All Saints Sunday (November 2)
November 2 10:30 am | Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church
Join us for this special Sunday when we honor the memory of those in our church family who have died during the past year. Families of loved ones will be invited to stand as we read those names and light a candle in their memory. We pray a special prayer of comfort for those who mourn while celebrating the lives of their family and friends.
Our guest preacher for the day will be Rev. Philip Wilden. He has recently retired as a pastor in the United Methodist Church, most recently serving New Concord UMC. He has previously served Orwell and Windsor UMCs, Seville UMC, and Delaware Asbury UMC. A native of Coshocton, Rev. Wilden was baptized and confirmed at Plainfield United Methodist Church across the street from the home in which he was raised. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Muskingum University and a Master of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, where he was a Hutchinson Scholar.
